ACBU the Broadway show The Fantastiksn. During the academic year the Main- stage committee re-structured its pro- gramming offering a variety of entertain- ment on Saturday evenings for the stu- dents. Bands like Phil'n' the Blanks, the Caruso Brothers and Kool Ray and the Poloriodzs had record high attendance. All in all the Council had a great year. Whether it was working on an Ice Cream Social, or a Show, or something else the members of the Council learned, laughed and had a great time while they worked in providing the Community with class A entertainment. 1 1 I l i l i l l l l ',,. .fx

Campus Carnival Minstrels, Magic and Mime was the theme for the 1983 Campus Carni- val which was held at Northwoods Mall on the weekend of March 10-12. Many groups representing all facets of the campus participated in the various events that were sponsored throughout the weekend. The Carnival was spon- sored by the Activities Council and is run by a Steering Committee. The events began on Friday evening with a Fashion Show, in which Bradley students modeled the latest spring fash- ions found in the Mall stores. Later that YN? evening all the groups arrived at the Mall to prepare for the next two days. Over twenty-five booths were set up in the fa- cility. The mall opened the next morning and the day was filled with excitement and fun. ln the early evening a dance mara- thon began that ran for 16 hours. On Sunday the mall was filled again with stu- dents, siblings and people from all over the Peoria area. ln the early afternoon another Fashion Show was held allowing the merchants to display their fashions one more time while the King and Queen .-u l i v. . 1, Y i i ii u . 5 '. p z Q. '-1' -I contestants modeled their outfits. The Carnival concluded late in the afternoon with the announcements of the winners for Booths crowning of King and Queen winners, Michele Wilson and Kai- ser Swiden. , All in all, Minstrels, Magic and Mime raised over S6000 for local charities. The Carnival was directed by senior, Chris McNeal, and she worked hard throughout the year to make the carnival a huge success. I ' .rip , .eff , A If: -D fm?
