Mixed emotions filled the air as students filed into their assigned dorms, frats or sorority houses. Friends and relatives carrying suit- cases, boxes, and stereos from the cars to the empty rooms. Crowded elevators, musty smell- ing rooms and some tearful good- byes. For the freshmen it was the first realization that Bradley Uni- versity would become a home rather than a mailing address for endless forms. For returning stu- dents, it was the first chance to see and talk to old friends. The campus began to come alive once again as students decorated their rooms, making them seem a little more like home. MOVING I TIN X x if N 1 l ...L

The idea of setting aside a special weekend in honor of brothers and sisters of Bradley students came from the Campus Affairs and Activities Committee of the Student Senate. The weekend consisted of cartoons, sports activities and demonstrations at Haussler Hall, a movie, free ice cream party, an all- campus barbecue, and events sponsored by individual dorm councils. The Merri-n-Ettes performed between games at the doubleheader against Western Illinois University. They were aided by some mem- bers of the Inter-Fraternity Council. Combining Siblings' Weekend with Campus Carnival Weekend provided Bradley stu- dents and their brothers and sisters with a fun-filled, organized weekend. IBLINGS' WEEKE D 25
