The Braves answered that with seven points in a row to take a 60-57 lead. Louisville pulled to within one point, then Tom Les hit one of two free throws with 19 seconds to go. Junior Bridgeman of Louisville missed a shot and Jim Caruthers hit two tree throws with two seconds to go. Caruthers hit a jumper for good measure at the buzzer. Final score: Bradley 65, Louisville 59. Mike Davis scored 18 points to lead the Braves' scoring. Greg Smith and Jim Caruthers each had 13. The Braves forced 31 turnovers from Louisville.
