The page at left is reproduced from the first Brad- ley yearbook, the 1901 POLYSCOPE. The POLY- SCOPES form a unique pictorial history of Brad- ley Polytechnic Institute from its beginning in 1897 until 1949. It was during 1947, Bradley's Colden Anniversary year, that the institute was renamed Bradley Uni- versity. Three years later Bradley,s yearbook was renamed ANAGA, an Indian word which means place on a hilltopf' A complete collection of Bradley's yearbooks is housed in the Lincoln Room of Bradley,s Cullom- Davis Library. We have selected only a few of the interesting pictures and drawings from the first ten volumes of the POLYSCOPE for use in this book.
