Sophomores add vigor in 72 35 seconds to play e third in the nation Louisville up hy two points - Bradley's hall. Bradley had many exciting mo- ments and did threaten Louis-' ville away and at home, yet could not hold a lead at the end. Victories were gathered from strong competition. Two Big Ten Teams: lylinnesota and Pur- due were downed hy the Braves this year. Desire to compete and emerge on top earmarked the style of this year's play. Coach Ioe Stowell, summed up the team's unending drive when he said: It's tough when you'ye lost close ones, but these kids keep coming hack , and they did. Three Seniors concluded their college careers this sea- son. High scoring, All-American Sam Simmons and center Rich Schultz, one ol' the shortest centers in the country. made a large numher ol' contributions during their first three years of play at Bradley. Scott Brooks saw a lot of action on the court this year despite an early sea- son injury. Two juniors, Don Ilogehoom and lim Zimmerman contrih- uted to the depth of the 1972 team.
