ELCONIETOTHEHILLTOP The avowed purpose of the carefully-wrought yearbook . . . to preserve memories . . . and as any good book . . . to withstand the test of time. This was our purpose . . . and meaning is here for those who seek it. There are the typical yearbook shots . . . capturing the essence of college life . . . familiar to many . . . but re-experienced and re-questioned every year. The myriad feelings . . . the threads of emotion . . . combine to blend the experience of four years . . . into that entity . . . socially acceptable . . . financially advisable . . . a college education. The meaning we present goes beyond the camera . . . beyond the written word . . . beyond Brad- ley's immediate aims of practicality. For us it is so personal that the effort to materialize abstract emotion evokes con- centration, even as thefadministration, faculty and students concentrate... pain, as they feel and cause pain . . .and love, as they also love. For this is the impossible dream' '... the story of all that was and could have been . . . it is idealism and growth . . .cynicism and despair . . .an attempt to clutch at life.
