hn- -114 A select group of students performed in a public experiment . . . hypnotism works, MCCARTHY HITS PEAK CIN TV NCI CHAPELS AT VARSITY For months we saw senators NIcCarthy and Dirksen via television. Wie saw parodies of same courtesy of Ed Sullivan, jackie Gleason, and Red Buttons. VVe also saw at least six chapels per semester. lvhile the First Drama Quartettell and John Brownls Bodyl' were still fresh in our minds we eager- ly hoped for the Caine Nlutinyl' court scene. The little theatre around the corner fur- nished us with year round entertainment, of the movie variety, through the advent of passes . . . no chapel credit given. The uni- versity, while passing up some lecture arts programs far heyond our iinancial means. still provided plenty of educational features. Those who attended stunt shows, the Orche- sis recital, Pan Fra sing, Nlidsummer Night's Dream, and the hloodmohile, will attest to the fact that chapels aren't so hard to get after all. The standard complaint that treshmen get chapels for attending coun- seling meetings leaves those that can remem- her their own freshman year thinking, They earn them after all.'l I3 Admittance hy ticket only made chapels seem more clesirah .i, I I 1 l i 3 .
