principals message We are living in an age of change, an age of growth-and also an age of confusion. No one in the world seems to have the complete answer to the questions in the minds of the multitudes. What will be the life of tomorrow? How will we as a people fit into the world picture? What peoples in the world will be our friends, and will some of them be our enemies? Can we, as a people, maintain or surpass our present high standards of living? Can we maintain a democratic system of government? How may each of us as an individual fit best into the life of tomorrow? There are many different answers given to this question, but in all of them there is a common element. To keep our place in the world as a nation or as an individual we must be trained. Education is the answer. We may secure it in any way that we can or wish to do, but it must be secured. We as a people must not just keep up with others. We must be leaders. Your high school has as its chief aim the broadening out and extending of your train- ing. It is also attempting to instill in you a desire for knowledge and its application. i ,W ' S. A.
