' The first outstanding event of the year was our class meeting. At the class election Alberta Patnaude was chosen as President, lark larlaire as Vice-President, John Casino as Treasurer, and Edward Osenga as Secretary. Our aim has been to cooperate with the in every way. The Freshmen Class has been very active in athletics. Edward Osenga, Elmer Janssen, Willie Ponikvar, and John Casino were m mbers of the Light- weight team and received letters for their athletic ability. The Freshmen girls organized a H1-Batters Club in November and they have as their motto, 'If You Want a Club, lake it Such.' The emblem is top hat and cane. The officers of the club are: President--Mae Tibbie, Vice- President--lildred Hartman, and Secretary--Wanda Hertz. Considering the progress already made, we Freshmen feel that we have good prospects for reaching our goal, which is to become before we leave as graduates, a truly versatile group of students, trying each in his can way to contribute to the success of our school. 14
