The purpose of the Elementary Library Club is to make its members more efficient library assi stantsg to improve library services, and to give the as- sistants ain opportunity to learn and to put in to practice phases of work re- lated to library service, but not included in the library program. To join the club, each student must keep up his grades and work in the li- brary during school or twenty minutes before or after school. Members of the club have projects consisting of things that will help the li- brary or the club. Points are given for these projects, and at the end of the year a party is given for the presentation of an award to the member with the most points, Members of the club are entitled to belong to the State Library Council. Delegates are chosen to attend the state meeting, but all members may at- tend the district meeting.
