Sixth row-'Dian McKean, Thomas Mulcahay, Francis Masterson, Edward Mowbray, Bill Wright, Glenn Ioder, Harold Hollar, Jack Hannon. Jolly Juniors is beginning to be a class- ical phrase, and this year's Juniors did their part in keeping that phrase true. The class as a whole was very active, many being in the band, .glee clubs, football squad, basketball, track, -or declamation or dramatics. The class officers were elected at the first class meeting of the year, held un- der the ,direction of Miss 'Campbell and Mr. Nicholas. The class elected hy popular vote: Bob Seeds, President. Earnest Linden, Vice President. Bob Halock, Secretary-Treasurer. Earnest Linden and Lola Mae Turner to the Student Council. The Juniors -came through well at Carnival Time with Helen Phelps and Francis Masterson as nominees for Queen and King but bitter rivals, -the Seniors came thro-ugh and took the title but we have hopes for next year. Beside the King and Queen the Junior girls spon- sored the Dance Hall and Fortune Telling booths, while the Junior boys had Spill the Milk. The Juniors also won the prize for the vbicycle float held during .the halves of the homecoming ga-me. The class was Well represented in dra- matics with Dan 'McKean and Carol Velde in The Patsy. .Holton Rosenquist in the Carnival -play Mountain Laurel and Dan McKean, Earnest Linden, Heyle Taylor, Leo Fuertges and Glenn Iloder in Dress Reversal. In athletics the class had several let- termen: Dan M-cKean, Dick Herder, Jack Hannon, Bob Perkins, Bob Seeds, Tommy Mowbray and Heyle Taylor. Dan McKean and Jack Hannon were elected co-captains of next year's football tea-m. Earnest Linden, Glenn Ioder, Gertrude Swearingen, Cecile Ames, Gayle Ames, Lillian Webber and Cleo Kopp represent- ed the school in commercial work. Out of the class there were several in declamatory work: Carol Velde, Cecile Ames, Mark Turner, Leland Wright, Juanita Quinn, Leo Fuertges and Bill Har- ney. Bob Seeds and Holton Rosenquist start- ed the new school paper Inklings.
