Reporters-Patricia Moran, Gloria VVAelSli, Clifford Miller, Beryl Coleman. History repeats itself, for the B. H. Highlights not only changed advisors last year, but this year as well. Before Miss Gustafson left this year she had partially accomplished her purposes of enlarging the staff, the paper, and making many other improvements in general. She fixed assignment sheets, arranged for a weekly staff meeting, and appointed pos- itions to staff members for two years. She also arranged for an exchange of papers with other schools, which gave the staff members a good idea of other school papers and provided some new material for their own. The staff enjoyed an excellent Christ- mas party under her supervision. Mrs. Edlefson, her successor, plans to carry on the good work. She is present at all of the staff meetings to supervise copy reading, headline writing, and last minute stories. With her assistance and the ingen- uity of the members themselves, the group enjoyed a very clever April Fools' party. Next fall the staff plans to really do things. It is going to carry on a wider ox- change of school papers, find more news and write more news. A plan is also being devised by which the members may receive press pins for their services. So be on your toes.for a bigger and better school paper next fall. The members of the staff, as well as the rest of the school, are very grateful to Mr. Breen for the columns he allows them in the Bradford Republicon each week. Thank you, Mr. Breen. Back Row-Tom Landes, Mary Shearer, Jane Owens, Ruth Mitchell, Nina Beeney. The most popular and one of the most attractive rooms in school is the library. According to the students, the assembly teachers are often too slow in checking roll as many hands are up before this task is finished. Some are seeking knowledge, while others are pleasure bent if a teacher is not present. Why wouldn't anyone like to frequent a library such as we have? Four thousand two hundred books are not often found in so small a school. If you want to read just for recreation you have a choice of almost a thousand books. To those seeking technical information in English, Science, Social Science. and the Vocational subjects, sever- al hundred books are available. Besides these there are about thirty-five sets of classics which serve as text books in the English classes. As a last resort for seek- ers of knowledge, there are four sets of encyclopedias. The school also subscribes to some forty- five magazines. In order to have a well- rcunded education you must keep up with what is going on in the world. If you wish to be one of these well-informed individuals, you can read Time, Literary Digest, Review of Reviews, and Forum. For those who wish to be well-groomed and keep up with the latest styles, there are The Vogue, McCalls, Delineator and Ladies Home Journal. To fill in those spare moments when you are tired of studying, you may read the Satur- day Evening Post, Readers Digest, Colliers, Life and many others. In addition to the large number of refer- ence books used every day, approximately one hundred fifty fiction books are checked out each week for a period of fourteen days. The penny-a-day fine for overdue books helps to buy supplies for the the library. Students are urged to read for pleasure as well as for knowledge-a habit well worth acquiring. Seldom does it become necessary to deprive students of the pri- vilege because of their misuse of books. There is no doubt that we have a library of which we should be proud.

Stage Manager. Claire Giltner. Publicity Manager, Bim Tumbleson. We have had a successful and interesting year in the Dramatic Club under the di- rection of Miss Heetland and the cabinet members. The club strives to give each of its mem- bers an opportunity to take part or help in the production of plays. Once a month we have a business meeting after which a one' act play or scenes from plays are presented for the education and entertainment of club members. We presented several courtesy shows this year for the benefit of the entire stu- dent body. These taught correct manners and showed us how to act and conduct our- selves in the proper way. For the public we presented the following one-act plays: Sparkin. the carnival play. Undertow, for the Civic League, and Pearls for the speech contest.
