SS Bradford High School Bradford, Tennessee ff-xx H, ihf-f - 55- AJ E , 'geofcafzbn We, the Senior Class of '62, wish to dedicate OUR edition of the BEACON to a very wonderful and inspiring person, who sponsored our class for our first three years in high school, and made those days enjoyable and re- warding. Her guidance and encouragement helped us to have a successful play and a beautiful banquet. In this small way we would like to say, 'Thank you, Mrs. Hayes, for your never tiring guidance through our first three high school years. We will always treasure our memories of you. JESSE BAKER PAUL OVERTON Our school has received guidance and assistance needed from these six business- men for a number of years. The School Board, although it is not seen by the students in everyday school life, is the guiding force under which our school functions. With the welfare of the school and the student body in mind, the Board employs able administrators and staff and provides an excellent academic program. For these many services we would like to commend them and say, 'cThank You. ware'- ALMA MATER 'Neath the southern skies of Bradfordg So to you we pay our tributeg Stands our dear ol, Schoolg Keep your spirits high. Compiling the Beacon has been a great experience for those of us who have had the privilege of working on the project. We have enjoyed every hour of the work In years to come if the memories recalled to you by this yearbook bring you pleasure that will be reward enough for us. Our yvrzirz cujuaf RUSSELL R. TUCK Today our enrollment reached an all time high of 791-5 pupils. While we at Bradford value num- bers very highly, we know that quality of work is more important than quantity. With thirty-eight of our graduates enrolled in eight colleges, we are proud that nearly half of them made the college Honor Roll in the Fall of 1961. Our boys' basketball team has a 26-1 record, and our girls, team has a 22-3 record. The As- sociated Press Poll has kept us in, or near, the top 10 rated teams of the state. I want to thank the City Board of Education, the Citizens and patrons of Bradford School for their cooperation with the Bradford Faculty in developing and maintaining a well-rounded Grade qefij, A School in this community.
