HE field superintendent in the oil industry was not just thrown the job. In order to reach this position, he had to work his way up from the lowly position of roustabout. VVhen he had proved his worth here, he was raised to the level of tractor driver. When once again he had shown himself worthy, he was promoted to pumper, straw boss and finally to the coveted position of Held superintendent. In this ascent in his career, he learned to evaluate and understand his fellow worker and to manipulate his tools to the best advantage. The class of '50 can remember well the steps they have had to take before they could rightfully assume their present seniorship. We recall that first frighten- ing day as sophomores. Soon, however, the maze of corridors became straight paths, the blur of faces, individuals, and most thrilling of all, the feeling of be- longing to the school. In tribute to the upperclassmen we put on the Sophomore Hop. We also entertained the Freshmen on Frosh Day. We soon found ourselves classified as Iuniors. We began to feel that the school couldnit tick without us. We did a stupendous job in the presentation of our class play, Come Over to Our House. To climax the year, we bid good-bye to the seniors by being hosts at the Junior-Senior Prom. We now find ourselves Seniors. We are positive the school would collapse if we should leave. Wanting to leave a good impression on ,our 1 v Alma Mater, we put our best foot forward and gave an unforgettable performance The highlights of our last year were: Senior Class Play, January Thaw, Mardi Gras, guests of the juniors at the Junior-Senior Prom. And now, as we walk down the aisle in cap and gown with our diplomas in hand, we realize these past three years will live in our hearts forever. twenty-two
