Af ifs weekly mee+ings. held every Monday of +he school Jrerm. +he Council consfanfly. discusses +he sfudenfs' problems and devises mefhods of improving school life. The Assembly CommiHee sponsored all weekly programs presenfing many inferesfing amafeur and pro- fessional en+er+ainers and speakers. The Social CommiHee was responsible for our highly successful social season. Remember +he Mardi Gras? The Welfare Commi++ee +ook charge of all charify and welfare drives. such as Red Cross. Com- munify Ches+. Thanksgiving baskefs. War Orphan's Fund and ofher wor'rhwhile proiecfs. The monies collecfed from Jrhe sfudenfs were apporfioned +0 each acfivify as needed by Jrhe Budge+ Commiffee. The Scholas+ic CommiHee filed +hrough endless numbers of records 'ro check +he scholas+lc ' s+ancling of s+uden+ office holders in de+ermining +heir eligibilify +0 hold office. The responsibilify of keeping our lunch room a clean and enjoyable place +0 ea+ was +he daily Task of lhe Cafeferia CommiHee. The Ushering CommiHee performed i+s du+ies efficienHy a+ all school and civic funcfions held af Jrhe high school during Jrhe year.
