CAMERA CLUB This year the Camera Club has attempted to give its members an understanding of their cameras as Well as developing and printing of their films. Some of the members have brought in prints which have been criticized by Mr. Dangerheld and the group as a Whole. We have supplemented this with several lectures on topics such as how to develop pictures successfully and easily. One of the most interesting meetings we had was learning the technique of lighting. Several girls acted as models while Mr. Danrgerheld told us of the different techniques of lighting and their effects. Members took pictures from different angles and at the next meeting We showed the prints which were discussed. We have also shown slides, both colored and black and White. During the Spring the club Went on Walks around the campus taking pictures of the different picturesque spots. Mr. Danfgerfield, the club advisor, with his knowledge of photography in all its aspects, has been of invaluable help.

THE ROMANCE LANGUAGES CLUB The Romance Languages Club is interested not only in France but in Spain and ltaly. lt is concerned with the cultural, political, and social aspects of these countries. At each French meeting the members sing the lllizrrfifftzife, France's national anthem, in honor of her rebirth. The Song of Liberation has been learned, remembering France's massacred dead, for they are not only her mourning and pride, but the light to show the road which leads to her new grandeur. We have been introduced to Spain politically and socially. lVllle. Damazy gave us a colorful picture of the country in a talk on its habits and social customs. Elena McGrath spoke to us about Buenos Aires, one of the centers of Spanish influence in South America. Mrs. Fivian presented us with a clear picture of Spain's turn to Fascism, from the civil war up to the present day. Northern Africa with its mixture of Arabian and Spanish atmosphere was discussed also. On the lighter side, French popular records were played for the purpose of showing the difference between them and our American popular songs. Highlighting the events of the year in the Romance Languages Club was a film showing the intense and excellent work of the French underground. Films of Paris with others elected shorts were also shown.

BRADFORD FORUM The Bradford Forum meets twice a month for discussion, movies or outside speakers. lt is a very informal group in which every student is allowed to object to statements made and present her side of the question. The biggest program for this year was an election for President and Vice-President of the United States held in the school. Committees were formed to malte posters and tix up voting booths. Miniature ballots were printed and the entire student body, the faculty and the school employees voted on the national election day. To inform the students as to the main issues of the election, both a Democratic and Republican repre- sentative spolte to the student body. A movie has been shown on the problems of food supply in wartime England, a local C.l.O. leader spoke to the forum members and we have had club discussions on such subjects as the election and both liuropean and Pacitic war fronts. Our aim is to acquaint the members with national and international affairs and so arouse an interest that will be extended into the future. This aim would never have been realized without the interest and guidance of Dr. Moss to whom we express our appreciation. Julia KEIlIl8y
