I X 1 D883 Bed1Cnt 0 sg, I5 'Y Ai it m fr enior Class Prophecy It was a cool spring morning when I drove into Bradford. I was in for a surprise. The town had grown. In fact, if I had not seen the sign over the old school, I never would have believed it. The sign read - uWarn1ng, no treaspassing at any timeu. Under it, there was a box. On it were the words, HTh1s is the site for S1mon's Funeral Home? I knew right then that it was good old Grant. Then I spotted him. He was over marking out a large area which he told me would be the site of his new home for cadavers. He told me he was attending night school to learn the art of embalming. We talked for awhile and he told me where all the rest of the old uClass of '54n gang was. It seemed that Grant had married Carrie Ella Hayes and they were raising a family of Ured- headsu. This did not surprise me too much. The way things looked in 54, I knew it was going to happen I then asked Grant where to find Dick Huey I left Bradford in the the first curve, when I saw I would stop and give him a I ever surprised to see the direction of Sonora I had gone as far s someone walking along the road I thought lift, for, it might be someone I knew Was one and only Barbara Bocek She knew me immediately I asked her what she was doing and I had to stop the car when she informed me I never was so surprised in all my life Barbara said that she had married Duane Fleet They now have three children Barbara rode with me as far as her house and I went on to Huey s Dick was just going out to the barn when I drove into the yard He was very glad to see me and I was told that he and Val Konopski had one into partnership and owned a sheep ranch Val and his wife, Eva, the former Eva Eldrlgel were away visiting some of their relation It seemed that Dick had staved single CSmart boyl I left Dick with his chores after he had given me directions to Lee Ellison s It was in the direction of Bradford I was quite sur prised to find it was the Strzepek estate Lee and Sylvia had been married a few months before I asked him what happened to Virginia and he said that she had two timed him so he married someone else After I had eaten lunch with Lee and his wife, I returned to Bradford I went into Fero s store Jim Winslow was home on leave to see about some land that had been left to him He was accompanied by two State Troopers The law had finally caught up with Jim and his Chrysler By then, it was two 0 clock I knew I must be on the way to Bush's I was to pick up Jeanie, my wife, at 2 45 We were due at our home in New York City that night I had to be at my desk early the next morning Oh yes, I am now a lawyer who is trying to build a good practice Dean Bedlent Valentine Konopski Z Xllx T F S X B. fmt.. ,,. axle - - VW f 1 .
