VANNALS The Junior Play , + HE presentation of As You Like It, in the grove on Tuesday night of Commencement week, l9lO, was the crowning event of the year for the Junior Class. An open space among the beautiful oaks furnished just the proper setting for an out-door comedy and from the time that the two daintily costumed pages announced the first scene, until the last strains of the wedding chorus died away, the attention of all was firmly riveted upon the natural stage. After the soft light of the setting sun had ceased to glimmer through the trees, and the twilight became too deep to allow one easily to distinguish the characters, artificial light was thrown upon the stage, and while less romantic than the twilight, yet it gave an added bril- liancy to the scene. The story of As You Like lt, is too well known to require re- telling here, and the following program gives the names of the members of the cast. ' 62
