“They say that breaking up is hard to do. ” This line from a once popular song truly expresses the feeling of the Graduating Class of 1980. Not only are we as a class breaking up to go our separate ways, but in addition we experienced throughout our final year at GBA the chaos and apathy surrounding the possible break up of our school. Despite all the problems that faced us, we managed to pull together, both faculty and students alike, to make these final moments together truly memorable. We feel a kind of nostalgia and a closer bond with our school because it, as well as we, has reached a crossroads in its life. The future of GBA is as yet uncertain, but we know that within this school we have received an education that has helped to mold our characters and personalities and that has helped us to prepare for the jobs, careers or vocations we have chosen. Like our school, our futures are still not clear, but with the guidance we have received from the faculty and administration, we have an excellent foundation for success. The purpose of the 1980 Falconian is to record the joys and sorrows, laughter and tears that made up our fond memories of this special year. Our goal was to recreate these special moments and if in some future year when you page through this book, the memories come flooding back and you shed a few tears for GBA, our job will have been accomplished. So this is it - GBA 1979-80. We hope this Falconian finds a place among your cherished treasures. 4 Theme
