THE SENICJR CLASS HISTORY Remember the day we arrived at the Senior High? We were gawky little kids trying so hard to be grown up. We were still trying to be the very important people we thought we were in Junior High. We packed the Sophomore Hop, and stood around eye- ing each other, the boys on one side of the gym and the girls on the other. Finally, they played the Bunny Hop and we all danced. The next year by Prom ttme we finally learned to dance. We held our Prom at the Edgewood Country Club, and our guests were faculty members and Sen- iors who attended the prom the year before. Re- member how we complained about the buses and what fun we had in spite of them? Midway in the year, we turned from our studies to making sets, learning lines, and rehearsing hour after hour. Money Mad was directed by Miss Nora Galer and starred the Senior Class. Will you ever forget the charming rendition of She'll Be Coming Round the Mountains by the hillbilly band? Senior Morning! Our last day of school. We pre- sented our big show. It moved quickly and noisily. And when it was over, weren't we just a little sad that we would not return to the carefreeness of the days just passed? Then too soon we marched down the aisles to the beat of Pomp and Circumstancef' Our school days were over. A little frightened and quite proud ,we wondered - Wfhat will our futures be? JUNIOR CLASS OFFICERS joe Mehalik, Pat Furlano, Bill Hoffman, and johanne Pogue. THE JU IOR CLASS HISTORY What a strange place the High School seemed to us as sophomores! There were many new rules to learn, many new people to meet, and many new things to do. The first few weeks were hectic, but gradually we became adjusted to our new surroundings and settled down to work. Under the leadership of our new officers, Dorothy Tabor, Gerald Zeff, Anna Marie DeNone, and Pat Busha, plans were made for the Sophomore Hop. But due to unforeseen events, the Hop was postponed in October, and we were unable to hold it until early spring. Our Sophomore year was over before it seemed to have begun. Back to school we came as juniors. At last we were upper Classmen! We tried to be a little less boisterous and a little more diginified than we had been as Sophomores, for this was the year of fluffy, pink gowns and dinner jackets and cummerbunds. This was the year of the Junior Prom! As Sophomores, the junior Prom was romantic and unattainable to us. Now, to us Juniors, the glamour was hidden behind hours of hard work. We had to raise money, to choose committees, to arrange for a ball-room orchestra. We worked and planned for several months under the sponsorship of Miss Kirk and our class officers, Joseph Mehalik, Patricia Furlano, -lohanne Pogue, and William Hoffman. The big night was April 27. We danced at the lovely Blackridge Commu- nity Center to the music of Russ Romero. All of us had a wonderful time, and now our Junior year was done. We found ourselves looking forward to our Senior year with enthusiasm and hope that we will be big enough to fill the shoes of the Class of 1956.
