The Brackenridge Parent Teacher Association was founded in l9l8 with Mrs. I. P. Benkendorfer serving as President. The objects are to promote the Welfare of youth in the home, school, church, and community and to bring into closer relation the home and school that parents and teachers may co-operate in the training of our youth. As members today We strive more than ever to translate the vision of our founders into active programs and to live up to the ideals of our founders. The War has added opportunities for service. The members assist in selling bonds and stamps at a local store, secure blood donors for the Red Cross and they have sent l5O music records to England for the entertainment of our boys in the service. A community garden club was sponsored to encourage the production of food. During the summer a canning class was conducted with a competent instruce tor thus enabling the gardeners to can their surplus produce. The success and growth of our P. T, A. is due to the untiring efforts of our members and to the co-operation of our principal, faculty, and student body. To these we are indeed grateful. fm. n. y. wmzfmwm, nm. , -. S Glau... The senior class ol 1944 with its president, Torn McGee, started its active year at the beginning of the tall term ol 1943 with a successful drive for membership. The first senior dance of the year was the Senior Prom, a formal dance given in December, which proved to be one of the most successful dances of the year. With the arrival of spring came the long awaited Senior Picnic. This picnic Was all that anyone could desire. Thus the last year spent in dear old Brackenridge is rapidly drawing to a close. Three years ago we were eager to reach the end, but now We are sorry we cannot tarry a bit longer. mm, .cfm
