Harold L. Crawford Superintendent of Schools Sched 14 minidbaajian Boys Town is an educational home and attendance at school is a requirement for all hoys. The Boys Town school system is accre- dited hy the State of Nebraska, and the subjects taught are quite similar to those offered in schools anywhere in the country. However, in addition to the academic cur- riculum, there is an extensive program of voca- tional education which offers students training in useful trades. These trades include tailoring, shoe repairing, harhering, haking, wood work- ing and carpentry, printing, ceramics, auto mechanics, machine shop, heating and air con- ditioning, radio and electronics, vocational agriculture, and cooking and catering. Music and athletics also take a prominent part in the scheme of education. The aim of the Boys Town educational pro- gram is to develop the whole man, so that when a boy leaves the Home, he is prepared to take a p lf' useful place in the world, a credit to himself, to X his community, and to Boys Town.
