eleolne to Superintendent ineent At a civic reception attended by some 450 Milwaukeeans, Mr. Harold S. Vincent was formally hon- ored by the community last October 4, upon beginning his term as the twentieth superintendent of Milwaukee schools. Truly. the old order changethf' for among those on hand to welcome Mr. Vincent to his new position was Mr. Milton C. Potter. who had served the City as superintendent of schools for nearly thirty years. Now, at the beginning of the new halfcentury, the l951 Artisan salutes the new superintendent. judge Herbert j. Sterfes, toastmaster at the dinner, Mr. Potter, and School Board President Peter T. Schoemann are pictured at the table with Mr. Vincent. Below, a representative of the State Board of Education, and Mr, Albert E. Boyer, a Milwaukee Board member, chat informally with Mr. Vincent and Mr. Potter.
