Four years momenfous in fhe hisfory of fhe world, and four years momenfous in our lives. , lf is nof foo easy fo remember fhe 'rime when we were freshmen. a liffle over-awed af fhe prospecf of going fo high school. Now, we are seniors and aren'+ we sfill over-awed, fhis lime by fhe facf fhaf we will soon be going fo college or info fhe world of business. However, as we prepare fo enfer a new phase of our lives, we find ourselves confronfed nof only by all fhose problems which every senior class since B.l'l.S. was founded has faced, buf also by The grim realizafion fhaf fhese are crifical fimes which we are being 'rhrusf info. We were perhaps a liffle foo young 'ro realize The full imporf of fhe war which sfarfed seven years ago. Bur now war falk has once again 'raken command of our fhoughfs and fhis fime we are nof over- awed. buf-a liffle nonplussed fhaf if is we who musf bear fhe burden of conflicf. The world has driffed info a paffern of kill or be killed! The fempo of war has increased unfil if sfrefches fhe imaginafion fo real- ize fhe full horror of if all. Civilizafion has virfually refurned fo i+s primifive beginning when considered in fhe relafionship of man fo his fellow man.
