As the school began to grow and take shape, we began to form new ideas and opinions and felt just a little more mature as we be- came juniors. In the early part of 1957, the school began to take on a polished look and by June, it was almost a finished product. Then, in September, we entered this new building as seniors. Somehow, as seniors, we seemed to gain respect both from classmates and teachers. It was a won- derful feeling. Now we are ready to step out into a new world, a new way of life where we will come across many exciting adventures whether they be in the office, on the campus or across the sea. We are proud of the school from which we were graduated and we realize that, like the school, we will meet many new people and new experiences during the years and will probably profit, or at least learn, from them all. WILLIAM A. STEINMULLER, in appreciation of all the years you've spent at BAHS. Mr. Steinmuller taught higher mathematics and. sciences. He also worked as Dean of Boys, guidance counselor and senior class advisor for a number of years. After thirty-four years of teaching, Mr. Steinmuller has retired and now takes life easy at his home on West Philadelphia Avenue, Boyertown. His greatest ambition is to write The Perfect Algebra Book. Rest assured, Mr. Steinmuller, if you ever get around to writing it, everyone at BAHS will buy one. We will always remember Mr. Steinmuller's classes, which consisted of algebra, humor and wit. ga-.A Silvlipavr ration and facult admrnrstratron and area coordinators MR. HARRY I. GILBERT B.A.. There are many mixups but everything manages to get straightened out. Jean Hughes was played by Mary Breidenbach and her true heart-throb was Tommy King fRonald Schwebell. Mr. and Mrs. Hughes. Jean's hilari- ous parents, were played by John Riehle and Jane Bause. Jane Yerger took the part of popular Ruth Coates who is Jean's rival concerning Mike Tisdale fAmos Osmanb. Teddy Hughes CBill Daleyb had a hard time juggling four different girls at one time. These girls were portrayed by Kathy Blessinger, Darlene Benfield, Janet Ellen Geiger and Betsy Dillon. Mildred Hughes fBettyjane Hernerl had a difficult time with the banker's son CDave Pfliegerl. Amy Hughes was played by Dolly Dilliplane and her one and only, Snazzy Mitchell was portrayed by George McCusker. Audrey Unger had the part of Mrs. Victoria Coates, a typical small town snob who is quite easily put in her place by the rough and tough cop, Walter Lipscomb Uohn Allmendingerl. He introduced the chorus line consisting of some high-kicking senior girls, the Ivy Leaguers, the New Tones, and the Scott Schwebel Combo. Some more of our local BAHS talent included John Gilbert with his accordion, the Trumpet .Trio, Carol Ann Schanely at the piano, Janet Ellen Geiger's tap dance and a comical impersonation put on by a group of senior boys. The Variety Show is produced in order to obtain funds for the publication of the yearbook each yearg and everyone, cast and audience alike, seemed to have a good time. - Variety Show opened by our lively chorus line.
