These students find the Good Groom- ing Club, band, orchestra, library club and airplane club among their favorite organizations. They were very help- ful in aiding the Red Cross drive and in stamp and bond sales. The seventh grade students can be seen gazing at the upper classmen, wish- ing that they could hold dances and join in activitiesg but these things aren't too far off. They have held parties for special holidays such as Hallowe'en and St. Valentine's Day. Some of the students in the sections of 7-2 and 7-3 have put on plays for the assembly programs. A comedy en- titled Mother Walks Out was pre- sented by the 7-2 section and the 7-3's composed a play from a book they read entitled Ichabod Crane. There are 7-C-Front Row, L to R: W. Swavely, J. These pupils have very decided ideas of what they like and don't likeg on the whole they agree. When these pupils finally become seniors they will remem- ber their first year at B. H. S. as one of their best. The more the merrier they always say, and the old saying surely was true when it comes to the eighth grade of Boyertown Junior High School. In the eighth grade there is a total of 99 pupils, which is a record attendance. There are 59 rural students who make up more than half of the entire eighth grade population. The eighth graders participated in numerous special school activities. Dur- ing the winter there was an inter-mural basketball tournament, in which the 8-2 boys got top honors. The girls were not left out of sports activities either, Eighth Grader and the red team Won the championship of the girls inter-mural basketball tournament. 8-C-Front Row, L to R: G. VVelsh, J.
