Three of the B-town setbacks came through the efforts of non- l league opponents, those being Royersford, Spring City, and East Greenville. In the Berks County Scholastic Football League com- petition, three teams fell under the blows of the Bruins, with but 1, Shillington and Muhlenberg giving them trouble. The B.H.S. gridders, coached by Robert L. Fleming, Warren if O. Fry, and Daniel A. Things looked a little dark going into the last quar- ter with the Speedboys maintaining a 6-0 lead, but the Bears pooled their strength and pushed the pigskin across with but a few minutes to go. Dave Garber converted, but a penalty voided the point and the second attempt from further back was wide. The game ended in a 6-6 deadlock. Next the Mules came to Boyertown to show us that they were to secure the loop championship to the tune of 46 points scored by their heavier, more experienced aggregation, who held the Bruins to 14 counters. lt was muddy, to say the least, on November 13, at Spring City, but the Pirates and the Bears battled stoutly, Spring City Robert Stoudt Halfback emerging the victor by a score of 13-7. Leon Swavely The last year of high school football activity for 'thirteen Tackle B.H.S. seniors culminated in the Turkey Day tussle with East Edmund Greenville. Much to the surprise of the Greenies, who had hitherto Sweinhm been beaten only by a strong Emmaus eleven, the Bruins gave 'them Center loads of Worries in the form of smashing tackles and hard-fought football before the Visitors could eke out a 7-0 Victory. These were the only two games that Warwick lost in an otherwise perfect season. The outlook for the future of B.H.S. basketball is excellent, as a strong J.
