Q During the year we held a weiner roast at Tourist Park and an ice 'Q skating party on the river. We presented our first literary J K in January and in April took fourth y k place in Field Day. .,-7' Z- I- Class History fcontinuedl Early in the fall, we sponsored a skating party and invited the rest of high school. We selected red and white for our class colors and on January 9, 1940 we chose our pennants. We also presented our literary in January. In April, we took third place in Field Day Activities. The officers elected for our'JBdimr year were president, William Wcnnerg vice president, Arthur Miller: secretary, Anna Mae Luboldg business manager, Marie Grovcg treasurer, Geraldine Becktclg class reporter to the Hi-Lita Flora Cooper. In March of 1940, Captain Gross was inducted into the Army and at the close of school we lost another well loved teacher, Miss Ott. With a nov teacher, Miss Zimmerman as class advisor, we E fan our Junior year. Our number hrf gpduced to nineteen. We selected our class rings and in December presented a thregaact comedy entitled 'Whcre's'Grandma?' In March we started selling stationery which proved to be quite profitable. In Field Day activities we took second place and in May we entertained the Seniors at a buffet luncheon.
