Future urges us along, The past stays close behind. Promising fulfillment of these wise words, “So seek and you shall find”. That threshold gate gapes open now, Choose your road without a bend. Walk it constantly all the while , Hurry--for there is no end. ALICE MOREFIELD

Class Prophecy It was in the year 1 955, this memorable year of 1955, this last year that BOYDTON HIGH SCHOOL had distinguished seniors issuing from her portals, that I can remember now so well. These seniors bade BOYDTON HIGH SCHOOL a fond, but sad, adieu because they knew that BOYDTON HIGH SCHOOL had reached its end in life. This being the year 1966, I look back; and in the various places and situations have I found the last of the line of BOYDTON HIGH SCHOOL Seniors DONALD, having finished V. P. I. is now County Agent in BoydtonI Our only Senior boy could not desert his “Alma Mater”. DOROTHY STRICKLER and BETTY YANCEY, as you might well have sus- pected, are married to Harry and Lavern. Both are living in Chase Citya n d have opened a beauty shop called “The Glamour Salon”. MARY FRANCES JEFFRESS is now head nurse on the Men’s floor at Medical College Hospital . That blond hair may land her that handsome rich man of whom every girl dreams. EULA graduated with honors at Mary Washington; from there she went to the University of Virginia for her masters degree. Today she is principal of the elementary school and an instructor in Physical Education at Boydton, Vir- ginia . With Linwood stationed in Japan , SHIRLEY had plenty of time to complete her modeling course in New York. She is now modeling in the exclusive dress department in John Wanamakers in Philadelphia. MARY CARROLL is very busy now that she has landed that rich husband with a huge estate and she also has four children to look after. MAJOR ALICE MOREFIELD has really earned a place for herself. Today she is an officer in the W. A, F. Her twinkling brown eyes have carried her a long way. The lingerie department of Macy’s Department Store is now operated by the competent JEAN HENDRICK, formerly of Boydton High School, and business is booming! ! ! ! ! Be sure to visit the Chase City County Fair in the Fall. There you will find NANCY PURYEAR, as head of the “Daredevils”; a mad group of crazy car drivers . “BEA ADCOCK, is producer and director of h e r well known television pro- gram “Enter Not This Door.” She has come a long way since herfirst per- formance in the Senior Play of ' 55. Who should be the cover girl of our class, except DORIS HATCHELL. She is employed by the True Story Publishing Company, and has a part time job modeling Paris fashions. CORA LEE is now Home Economist for VEPCO. Her demonstrations have carried her over most of Virginia. LENIS ANNE is secretary to the eye specialist, Dr. Farrar, in the South Hill Memorial Hospital.
