g B.B.S. Honors Mr. Bates g C r In January, Boyd-Buchanan honored Mr. Conrad W. Dates for his many encouragements and contributions toward building a superior science department at B.B.S. The chemistry lab was named The Conrad W. Dates Science Lab and a plaque was presented to him in appreciation of his efforts. In 1976 Mr. Dates pledged the first 52,000 to the high school science fund, and since that time has been the chief motivator for the department outside the school. He taught for thirty-seven years in the Chattanooga school system, spending most of that time teaching science at Chattanooga High School. Shown above are Mr. Bates: Mr. Don Hedrick.
