Through all types of weather, year after year, the shining white of the granite beehive stands out as a reminder to the students of the remarkable creature that their lives at Box Elder will be patterned after. This tiny Bee lives a full life in the short time he is on this earth. The students of Box Elder are much like the Bee in this respect. In the six short years that they attend rw' .--.N Q Nw fe Xie gee they receive an education. Then, as the Bee makes its last long flight, the students too are ready for their flight into the world. Within these covers can be found a record of one year, 1950-1951, at Box Elder, and of its students. ln later years, as you glance through these pages, many wonderful memo- ries will come back to you of your school, where you spent many of the happiest hours of your life. W msmzg ii-'F -'- -flnnqg. I 3. + 9. 'lig-gl W PRINCIPAL ALF L. FREEMAN The Boomerang this year is featuring our symbol, the HBeeH. This symbol of Box Elder High School holds out a challenge to all our stu- dents and silently but fluently preaches the doctrine of lndustry and ith the finer things faithful service. The Bee has become synonymous w of our school experiences. Integrity, cooperation, and achievement are some of those desirable qualities we associate with this emblem. Students honor and revere it and willingly work to accomplish those exacting requirements that lead to the ownership of a HBH pin. b f The fortunate possessor of a HBH pin wears it with the pride orn o his victorious accomplishments. The entlre studentbody and faculty along with the parents of our students recognize the importance of this emblem in school and com- munity life. May we all strive to add lustre to our already honored symbol - the HB . I vice-PmNcuPAL A. ELWYN SEELY 6 KENNETH E. WEIGHT Superintendent S 5041! af ghvahbn Left to right: Wayne E. In be- tween these events the class of '51 proudly took her place in all school activities. ' Now as students we must say goodbye to the school we love. To each one of us has been offered opportunity, limited only by our ambitions and abilities. We hope that we have made the best of these opportuni- ties. We also hope that we have contributed something to the school and the community. Among our first activities was the Homecoming Celebration at which our main duty was to light the 'B' on the hill. Everyone agreed it was the best 'B' to date in spite of the rainy weather we had nn that night. The next big milestone was the Christmas dance and assembly that turned out to be very successfhl events, thanks to our class parents, students and all who helped. we have two more wonderful years at Box Elder, in which we must try to improve ourselves. we, the class of '53, have wonderful possibilitiesg let's realize and make the most of them.
