The present Board, under the leadership of President John W. Peters, has been very successful in improving the general conditions of the district. The completion of our new gymnasium and the building of a new science building with its modern cafeteria and domestic science and art department will give us a plant which offers educational facilities not surpassed anywhere. Our new. modern transportation system is the model for Utah. and as nearly as is possible, gives all of the students an equal opportunity to take advantage of modern educational facilities. Our teaching staff has been built up and the conditions of teaching improved so that we can hold desirable teachers and make them feel satisfied and anxious to do their most efficient work. Probably the best evidence that the School Board is handling the affairs of the district in a satisfactory manner is the fact that the patrons of the district seem to be in a happy, satisfied frame of min They are glad to come to school functions and seem willing to co-operate in all of the de a ings of the school. So far as can be seen there is no feeling of dissatisfaction and all of the 1 satisfied with the condition of our school system. we 5 My-Frm fa - Wye-V -Q E. ZUNDEL, H. JENSEN, B. CUTLER. A. P. This attitude of loyalty and service and love has been built up over a quarter of a century by the more than two thousand graduates, and the others who have loved and served, Every student who has rendered service by active participation in school plays, operas, assemblies, athletics, debates, speaking contests. bands, glee clubs, junior promenades. school publications, or in other ways served, has made his contribution. Student body, class and club officers. and students working on committees have made special contributions, The students who have stood by and boosted for Box Elder have contributed to her wonderful spirit. Those who have given honest and faithful effort to build high standards of scholarship are among her most valiant builders, Love is the fulfilling of the law. lf you love Box Elder, you will be jealous of her good name: you will defend her against unjust criticism: you will avoid doing things that will tarnish her reputation: you will be anxious about her: and will try to serve and build her by your own thoughts and actions. Of the Drum Majors at Box Elder in the last five years all have been Seniors, all have won HB pins, three have been Band Presidents, as in the case this year, and three have gone on to become College Drum Majors. We are all proud of Dick for his clean, sterling qualities and leadership and predict a successful future for him. RICHARD HARRIS Drum Major und Band Prc's1ident Bu nd Qiiiceras If you know these students, you can just imagine how many things they can do to keep the Band machinery clicking. These are the people who can be depended upon as section leaders and to go on in college. Last year Box Elder's Band Seniors were awarded over three hundred dollars in college scholarships. Here's to the soloists: we don't know what we would do without you in our school and church programs.
