SEATED: MILDRED GALBAVY, ELSIE BELCOURT, RITA SwAN, LYNN AL- LEN, GEORGE BRADFORD, DIOKIE GOLBERG, FRANCES SEARLE. AT THE FIRST OF THIS YEAR THERE WERE THIRTEEN PUPILS IN THE FIFTH AND SIXTH GRADES. THEN FIVE WEEKS LATER KENNETH THORN MOVED TO HAVRE WHERE HE IS NOW ATTENDING SCHOOL. SIX WEEKS AFTER KENNETH LEFT, GEORGE BRADFORD MOVED T0 CHVNOOK. ONE WEEK LATER ELSIE BELCOURT STARTED SCHOOL HERE. Now WE HAVE TwELVE PUPILS, THERE ARE SEVEN GIRLS AND FIVE'BOYS. EVERY WEDNESDAY AFTERNOON FROM TWO TO THREE O'CLOCK VE GO DOWN TO THE GYM FOR PHYSICAL EDUCATION. DURING THIS TIME WE MARCH, SQUARE DANCE, PLAY VOLLEYBALL AND RUN RACES. WE MADE MANY INTERESTING THINGS IN ART DURING THE YEAR. THE FIFTH GRADE STUDENTS LEARNED TO wEAVE AND BOTH THE FIFTH AND SIXTH GRADE MADE GLOBES OF THE WORLD. WE MADE THEM OF PAPER MACHE. WE MADE PUPPETS OF PAPER MACHE TOO. THE CHRISTMAS GIFTS WE MADE FOR OUR MOTHERS WERE WOVEN POTHOLDERS. WE wOVE FOUR SQUARES AND CROCHETED TWO OF THEM TOGETHER. EVERY THURSDAY BEFORE CHRISTMAS FROM THREE TO FOUR WE WENT To THE SHOP. FIRST WE DREW A PATTERN OF ANYTHING USED IN A KITCHEN, TRACED IT ON A PIECE OF wOOD, AND THEN USED A BIG ELECTRIC SAw TO SAw IT OUT. THEN WE SANOPAPERED IT AND VAR- NISHEO IT. SOME SHARES WE MADE WERE OF A TEAPOT, ROLLING PIN, PLATE AND CANDLE. JEAN STEWART
