The line-up for the season was as follows: center, George Rosette, forwards, Captain Bert Corcoran and Bert Williamson, guards, Charles Rosette and Clement Hobbs, substitutes, Johnny Corcoran and Russell Hoffman. Regardless of the fact that there were only seven boys out for the season, the Bears made a good showing at the Hi-Line Tournament placing third. We were eliminated in the District Tournament after losing the first two games. The high point man of the season was Bert Corcoran, with 300 goints. Bert was also high on free throws with an average of 0.L per cent. The Bears played 17 games this season, winning 10 and losing 7. They scored 895 points to their opponents 89h points. The boys wish to thank all their loyal rooting section ad everyone who has cooperated in making this a successful season. --Bert Corcoran and Russell Hoffman WTHE BEAR PAW' 'The Bear Paw' is the Box Elder high school paper published by the juniors and seniors every month. The students consider it one of the best ways of getting publicity for the school and also for ad- vertising school events and explaining to our parents and the pub- lic just what is happening in school. The 'Bear Paw' has enjoyed a superior rating in its class for the past three years, and the students strive each year to make every is- sue better than the one before. This year's staff of the 'Bear Pawn is shown below. Editor ---------------- Eileen Hobbs Assistant Editor -------- Mary Ann Corcoran Sports Editor ------------ Bert Corcoran Activities Editor --------- Bernice Sangrey Feature Editor ------------ Freda Turner Art Editors- - Laura Williamson and Clement Hobbs Business Manager -------- - - - Wilma Nolan Class Reporter ---------- Beverly Prather Jokes ---------------- Agnes Stewart Advisors ------- Miss Mansfield and Mr. Cloke The staff of next year's paper has not been chosen yet, but it is certain that they will strive as those before have done to make the 'Bear Paw' something to be proud of and keep as a memento for many years.
