Matthews Stadium, in mem- ory of the former athletic director. ' A leader of Bowsher's athletics for many years, Mr. Matthews displayed hard work, dedication and Rebel pride which enabled Bowsher athletics to become one of the best in the city. . The dedication ceremony took place on Friday, Sep- tember 14, 1979 during halftime at the Bowsher- Woodward football game. V 3
