There are many rewards to acquiring an education. Perhaps the most obvious is a greater knowledge of the world in which we live, but the most satisfying is attaining the self-assurance that comes with learning. Ed- ucation is the key to success, for a world which stretches vast and unknown is o diffi- cult challenge. Through study, however, we learn to understand life, and in this process comes a knowledge of ourselves and our surroundings which will be retained. Finally, this knowledge is instrumental in the reali- zation of the personal goals that we have pursued with confidence.

V A ccomplishment ln the new light of self-confidence, we see the very universe as a challenge. We are eager to set new and higher goals and to attain a greater degree of perfection in all we do. Incorporated with this enthusiasm, the confidence of others-teachers, parents, friends-encourages determination to prove our own merit. Determination leads to oc- complishment, the reward of confidence, and the many aspects of worthy achieve- ment are enmeshed in the transition from child to young adult.
