William F. Sclimeltz, dean of the College of Business Administration 1, 4' 'l College of Business Expands Curriculum To meet the needs of an increased enrollment for the 1964-65 academic year, the College of Busi- ness Administration set its target toward develop- ing a more extended and challenging curriculum for University students. Under the direction of Dean William F. Schmeltz and Dr. John R. Davidson and Dr. Warren C. Waterhouse, assistant deans, much attention was devoted to counseling undergraduates, reorganiz- ing courses, implementing internship programs, upgrading standards, and re-examining the col- lege's present criteria. The College of Business Administration also ex- tended its plans for a more intensive international business studies program, which began functioning last year. The program, originated to anticipate future business requirements of graduates, is spon- soring faculty members abroad to do research work with several business institutions as observers and consultants. Participation of the faculty in affairs of the col- lege through the Faculty Executive Committee, which plans and executes meetings for the staff of the college, increased this year. Faculty mem- bers also worked on the periodic revision of their own course requirements for graduate degrees. Continuing with its tradition of recognizing superior work, the College of Business Administra- tion honored its outstanding students at the Honors Banquet held March 29.
