Commencement-- Tloe Long Awaitecz' Event The Senior Luncheon, 1960 Cotillion, Reception, Commencement Exercises-these and many other ac- tivities highlighted Commencement Weekend for the Class of 1960. Dr. Francis H. Horn, commencement speaker and president of the University of Rhode Island, stated that colleges must prepare graduates to accept change and uncertainty as necessary conditions of life. College students here and everywhere must learn to place service to society ahead of personal interests, to put concern for mankind before concern for self.
