'ow ing wang aww If With the increased enrollment of the school, came the necessity of enlarging the faculty. Much credit goes to the heads of the departments who Worked tirelessly to bring the best to the campus and to all of their staff who relinquished their time to take an especially heavy schedule until help was obtained. Despite these handicaps, the faculty, in a true academic spirit, have contributed much to their specialized fields. Several of the members published books while others carried on extensive research- all carried on activities too numerous to mention. Many rendered services directly to the university and its students, not only through the classroom, but by serving on student faculty committees and acting as advisors to the departmental clubs. To obtain a well balanced curriculum, they were guick to support the faculty square dances, parties and sports teams. Add these features together and the result is a typical member of the faculty-one who is interested in his Work and very Willing to help the student to become educated. G' P gX
