Test Youth for Fitness Each fall and spring, physical fitness tests are given as part of the P.E. program at BCI-IS and the scores from the seven events are averaged. Stand- ings of the students are then compared to the state and national averages. Sit-ups, pull-ups, broad jump, shuttle run, soft- ball throw, 50-yard dash, and 600-yard run are the testing areas. Tests are rated with an evaluation chart scoring 4 112 points for excellent, 3 for good, 2 for satis- factory, and 1 point for poor. Best possible scores are 31.5 for girls and 60 for boys. No records are established for sit-upsg 99 sit-ups earn an excellent score and students who reach that number are required to stop.
