Peterson scored six of Findlays tallies. The game was another feature of long runs as both B.G. touchdowns and six of Find1ay's were made in that fashion.. The fourth game on the Cat schedule proved to be a thriller for the crowd. Both teams had the same number of scores as the toe of Emil George proved to be the winning factor. George turned into a passing back and threw a TD pass to end Tom Mooney. Loomis was injured in this game and was out of play for the rest of the season. George Loomis, Presti and Mooney all scored for the Cats. Long was the outstanding player for the Columbians. A wild scoring melee 'was given in the fifth game when the Cats met the Perrysburg Yellow- jackets on 'Gal1ier field, Presti and George were again the scoring punch for the Bobcats. Two B.G. tallies were on passes from quarterback 1-leiby. B.G. passed only six times with two good for scores. Perrysburg passed only six times with two good for scores. Perrysburg passed 25 times and completed 13. Losing to a speedy Napoleon outfit, the Bobcats couldn't get rolling till too late. They had a slow first half but came back fighting as they scored 26 points in the second half with three of the four tallies being made in the fourth quarter. George was the sparkplug for the Cats as he was a constant scoring threat to the Napoleon Wildcats. This game was looked upon by a number of people as a poorly officiated game as far as the Cats were concerned. Fremont Ross proved to be too much for the Cats to handle as they scored freely in a 52-0 rout of the Cats. The Ross line completely dominated the smaller Bobcat line all evening. Playing in a constant downpour of rain, the Cats lost their fourth game of the season by a 195W BOECZXYFOF1 Ex! Free time was spent by listening to portable radios and playing blackjack and other less popular card games. ln each tent there was a captain who was responsible for the boys in that group. The main rule enforced by these captains was lights out at 9:30. From inside sources we learned that clod tights often were attractions that took place after 9:30 p.rn. Hayward, B.S. and A.M., is one of the outstanding citizens of Bowling Green with a long record of notable services to this community through its schools from 1915 to 1940, the time of her professional retirement. Miss Hayward completed supervising of the elementary schools in the same year that the graduating class of 1951 was beginning its school experience in the first grade, and it seems especially appropriate to give some recognition to the work that she did for their benefit and for the benefit of countless other boys and girls who have attended, or who will attend school in Bowling Green. She has made countless contributions through her interests and personal participation in the organizing of the Wood County Library. She is a member of the Library Board of Trustees. So, in l95l, we just want to salute this fine fellow citizen of ours and to say that the people of Bowling Green will never be able to express adequately the appreciation of the things that she has done and continues to do for all of us who are pleased to be counted among her neighbors.
