'. age - .. e PERRYSBURG On Tuesday we traveled to Perrysburg We led 19 to 7 at the half and then ran into some trouble finally gettrng beat 35 to 26 FINDLAY Findlay came to B G and again trounced us 33 to 22 Th1s was a thrilling game and Findlay was scared more than once KENTON On Tuesday we traveled to Kenton and received a 27 to 23 beating FREMONT The following Friday night Fremont came to B G to wind up the Buckeye League and also the season s play lt was a rough battle with Fremont win ning 48 to 39 LIMA SOUTH We now forgot the season s play and started to work for the tournament Thls year we drew Lima South who had an excellent team The game was a good one and Lima had to play all the way to defeat us 36 to 20 The Bobcats started the season with only two lettermen Nichols and Bachman returning Nichols was the only senior on this years squad The season from the standpoint of victories was not so good but Coach Creason has a young ball club and in two years they should be the class of the Buckeye League BASKETBALL LETTERMEN CLAIR NICHOLS Guard Senior Nick played regularly as a guard and was the only senior on this rebounding BILL BACHMAN Guard Sophomore B111 was chosen on the all Buckeye team and was leading scorer of this year s squad B111 has two more years and should be a great cager DICK MARSH Center Iunror Big Dick was an aggressive center and one of the best shots on the team He should be one of the top scorers on next year s team DON HARMS Forward Sophomore Don was an outstanding bank board man and thus was given honorable mention in all Buckeye With two years to play Don should rate with the best in the League STANLEY MAAS Forward Iumor Red was the fastest man on the squad and was a hard worker He will be a great asset to next year s squad if he does not enter the service RAY FOOS Guard Iumor Ray was captain of the reserves and a very valuable replacement for the varsity He was a very calm ball player and should have a very good season next year GENE MOONEY Forward lunior Gene was very rugged and aggressive and may develop into the spark of next years squad year's squad.
