nm, Y , , ..,, ., , . s..,wu...,,, I CLASS HISTORY September I2, 1955, was a big day in the lives of the 49 Freshmen who entered Bowler Hi h School. It marked the be innin of our hi h school education. S 8 S 8 We were initiated by the Sophomores in October. We didn't mind it too much: we knew we'd get our revenge the next year. That year many of our classmates -joined in extra-curricular activities. Sandra Bernarde, Lonna Onesti, Clair Sawyer, Nancy Lemke, Joan Buchholtz and Ronnie Schumacher were in Forensics and Sandra Bernarde and Ronnie Schumacher were in the one-act play. Sandy was also on the cheerleading squad. Our officers were: President ....... . . Clifford Kessen Vice President .... . . Meril Schultz Secretary ....... . . . Nancy Lemke Treasurer . . . . . Diane Zahn Reporter ..... . . . Sheila Miller Our class membership dwindled down with the loss of Sheldon Malone, Emil Pukall, Parnell Wilber, Harvey Matz, Diane Zahn, Sandra Bernarde, Danny Faber, Alice Slivicki, William Cook and Joan Buchholtz. On September 5, 1956, we returned to school as sophomores. We initiated the freshmeng they were good sports. Members participating in extra curricular activities were Nancy Lemke, Lonna Onesti and Marion Onesti in Forensics and Meril Schultz, Ronnie Schumacher and Nancy Lemke in the one act play. Our class officers were: President ....... . . . Darwin Zeinert Vice President .... . . Ronald Schumacher Secretary . . .... . . Malcolm Voelz Treasurer .... . . Clifford Kessen Reporter .... . . Ellsworth Long We gained a new classmate, Jim Ness at the start of the year, but at the end we had lost him along with Earl Ladwig, Reka Matz, Connie Beyer, John Pingel, Ellsworth Long, Dennis Dallman, Leo Besaw, Clair Sawyer, Shirley Bierman, Joe Shadduck and Sheila Miller. Margaret Martin was our only classmate on the cheerleading squad. Nancy Nordwig and Darwin Zeinert were on the Prom Court of Honor. Our Junior Year began on September 3, 1957.
