LA JUANA BURGETT-She possesses aquiet sort of man- ner, but there is lots behind the quietness. Everywhere she isjust Burgett --friendly,cheerful, and an earnest worker. WANDA BURRIS-A quiet, dainty little girlwho ranks high in scholastic honors. Wanda is very ambitious and ready to lend a helping hand to everyone. JOHN CARVER- Frog is an efficient expert in the art ofconserving energy, idling away the happy school years. His interest centers around dribbling a basketball. IIMMY COOPER-You could look down at the goal line at any ball game and there you would almost always find Buzz, Jimmy is mischievous, but a hard working member of the senior class. He will really be missed in athletic circles next year. EDNA Rl-IE CORDELL-A beautiful blonde-but not a dumb one!! Edna Rhe is an outstanding homemaking worker, serving as local president, and Area V. song leader. She was our lovely Homecoming Queen. IO ETTA DIMOCK-T ac tfulne s s is one of Io Etta's greatest traits. She is a very untiring worker who is always around when needed. JAMES DOUGHTY-James is a po s s e s so r of many talents, but topping the list would be a successful Travel Club president, He is a distinguished vocalist and has lately developed a new talent---art. DEAN DYER-No matter where you meet her, there is always a friendly smile to greet you. She is an enthusi- astic basketball pla ye r who really enjoys the sport. Deana did an excellent job la st year as our class treasurer.

JACKIE AIRINGTON-Tall, lanky, and good-natured are the adjective s best describing Jackie. He took his brother's place in school as an easy-going person with many friends. Jac kie is a hard working member of the basketball team and senior class. DAVID ANDERSON-Doesn't study much, but does he care ? His cute smile will get him there. From his speech flows pure wit. MILTON ANDRESS-Milton is a plodder, but after all, it's the to rto i se who won the race. He staunchly supports Bowie High School by doing his bit. VICTOR BAKER-An enthusiastic manager of the football squad and Vice President of the Travel Club. He is good- natured, amiable, and can really drive a tennis ball. IVON BENNETT-A carefree boy whose wit and humor make him welcome in any crowd. Nothing attemptedg nothing doneg just a good time and plenty of fun. RICHARD BISHOP-In his small body is a mighty mis- chievous spirit. He thoroughly enjoys life and spends a great deal of time in a place called The Office. ANN BOWMAN-A dark-eyed cutie with a bubbling per- sonality. Always seen with a ready smile for everyone. Annwill long be remembered as one of the high stepping majorettes of the band. BETTIE IO BROOM-She will make her ma rk and friends in life, just as she has in Bowie High School. Bettie Io is well poised, with a mind of her own.

HELEN EVANS-Helen is as immovable as the Rock of Gibralter when she wants to be. She finds girl's athletics enjoyable and participates whole-heartedly in all of them. FRANCES FOSTER-Frances is a girl of numerous abilitieswith Business Manager of the Annual Staff rank- ing the highest. She take s part in many of the school activities and does more than her share for the senior class. SHIRLEY CANDY-Shirley is a Cute little senior with a winning way. She has been a member of the band for 3 years, serving as secretary of this organization in 1952- '53. As the treasure r of the Travel Club, it is her responsibility to collect the dues. WILMA HALFORD-Wilma hails from Sunset. She has a wonderful personality and is well liked by everyone. She thoroughly enjoys studying and ranks English as one of her favorite studies. f MARIE HENSON-AlthoughMar1e is a quiet individual SAM HALL JR.-The boy who knows how to make riends without making enemies. His words are few, but his thought s are many. Sam has spent a great deal of his spare time gathering paper for the Travel Club. LOUIS HARDEMAN-Louis has been our band president for 3 years. He is also first trombonist and a member of the Travel Club. Louis is well liked by all of his fellow classmates. VIRGINIA HARRIS-Blessed with blue eyes and blonde hair, and a host of friends. Virginia can furnish the brains as well as the work for almost anything. she has apleasant personality, and is always willing to help when called upon.
