Assistant Coach t 'Q 'fmfhgu 'X I , f at X ff Nadine Smith Football Sweetheart The 1040 Jaclrabbits under the direction of Coaches Thomas C. Schneider and Wilson B. Dees won for our school its first District Championship. Not being satisfied with the llA Championship, the Jackrabbits went on to take a very close game irom Weatherford for the Bi-dis- trict title. On a very cold afternoon, Friday, Dec. 13, our team came to the end of its string of victories when it was defeated by the powerful Chillicothe Eagles in the game which crowned the Eagles Regional Champions. Beginning the season with a 6-G tie against Archer City, the Jackrabbits then went on a victorious march which carried them through smashing victories over Bridgeport, Decam tur, Wichita HBH, Newcastle, Henrietta, Jacksboro, Saint Jo, Nocona, and Weatherford. Over this ten game schedule the Jackrabbits scored a total of 345 points to their opponents 30 for a game average of 34.5 points to the opponents 3. Graduation will wreck this team due to the Pat Wright fact that li of the 21 lettermen have played their Captain last year of high school football. a A '- - It 'IRT w lr Schneider, Coach, Loyd Price, Harold Rhyne, Pat Wright, Roy Covington, David Homer Jackson, James Ditto, like Wright, Earl Hargrove, Bobby Woodall, Paul White, Vassar, Kelvin Simpson, Manager.
