First, that anxiously awaited one. initiation. After initiation, the class officers were elected as follows: president, Elaine Slaterg vice president, Jerry Randolphg secre- tary and treasurer, Rose Mary Corseg and student council member- Freda Jackson. Karen Dittmer was appointed reporter- Our sponers were Mr. Traver and Mr. Willard and we would like to thank them for their help and advice. We had a hay-rack party in the fall. Our first real accomplishment was the Freshman Work Day. We also had concessions at a ball game which helped add to our treasury. Many of the Freshman attended and enjoyed the Sock Hop and the Christmas Ball- In the spring we had a party. This turned out to be very successful- The Freshman Class consisted of eight girls and thirteen boys. We were proud to have the following boys on the basketball team: Jerry Randolph, Kent Crear, Garry Wear, Ronnie Hastings, Kenny Jacobs, George Akers, and Herbie Duffy: and Kent Crear, Garry Wear, Jerry Randolph, Ronnie Hastings, and Kenny Jacobs on the Baseball team. Max Watts was manager for the second team basketball boys . Janet Akers. Rose Mary Corse, Max Watts, Jirr Groves, Gary Nelson, Freda Jackson, and Jolene Gronewold were members of the music class. Karen Dittmer and Elaine Slater played in the band.

JUNIOR CLASS QCon ' tb Larry 1-Iebster was President of the F.F.A. Also, members of our class who were in F.F.A. were Donald Limkemann CSecretaryD, Larry Post, Donald Eichman lTreasurerJ, and Rudy Launer. Larry Webster was a member of the team which won the regional corn judging contest and was second in the county in the fat stock judging contest. Donald Limkemann was on the land use judging contest and placed sixth in the county in the fat stock judging contest. In basketball and baseball this year we had Jim Hartley and Larry Webster. E.J. Pullins was the manager of the first squad basketball team and Janis Ufkes was a varsity cheerleader. On September 2'-bth, we had a paper drive in Bowen and West Point and on September 30th, the class had a hayrack ride and weiner roast. We had a talent show on February 3rd and sold auto- graph books. Plans for the prom were made. Our candidates for King and Queen of the first Christmas Ball on December 23rd, were Glenadene Phillips and Larry Webster. Janis Ufkes was elected candidate for queen of the West- ern Holiday Tournament. FREHMAN CLASS Q Con' tl Freshman members of the F. F. A. were: Elaine Slater, George Akers, Kenny Jacobs, Garry Wear, Jerry Randolph, Gary Nelson, Arlo Junk, and Jim Groves. Jolene Gronswold, Freda Jackson, Karen Dittmer, Bonnie Fink, Elaine Slater, Janet Akers, and Rose Mary Corse participated in the activities of the G. A. O. Janet Akers, Rose Mary Corse, Max Watts, Karen Dittmer, Bonnie Fink, and Elaine Slater were members of the Dramatics Club. Karen Dittmer was a member of the F. H. A.
