SE HJR ASS PROPHECY November 32 , 1973 Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Ridings 1956 Davis Drive Kukamunga, Kansas Dear Lawrence and Shirley, Do you realize it was eighteen long years ago when we made the faculty of Bowen High very happy by graduating? I understand that Lawrence has become a successful teletype operator and you are doing well as a beautician. I.et's see now! You have four curly headed dots and dashes running around the house, haven't you? Cheryl Cramer is now married to Danny Peterson, the professional baseball player so she has been able to tour the country. When his team played at the Bowen Stadium she told me of the fate of our Class of '56. Marilyn Andrew developed her interest in horses and bought a stable in Kentucky so now she has a horse entered in the Kentucky Derby. Harold Screech Veach, broken hearted from losing Wilma to another, decided to be a thirty year man in the Army. He has served fifteen of those years and has worked his way up to Private First-Class. Marilyn Barber, after graduating from Gem City, became private secretary to the President of the United States, who is Kent Dittmer. Remember the blind date Kent had his Senior year? His eyes were finally opened and he made her first lady. Ina Carol James finally settled in Colusa. Since her interests were twins for several years she now has outstanding twin square dancers as well as grand champion cattle. Sam Ramsey went to Minnesota to further his education in music but froze out so now he and Sandra run the Comercial Hotel in Bowen. His musical ability is paying off, for he sings his fourteen kids to sleep to keep them from disturbing the guests. Since Roberta Willard always had a love for children she has replaced Miss Frances on Ding Dong School. Dick Myers and Russell Davidson went into a partnership on a farm. Dick married Lulu but Russell has reconciled himself to be a confirmed bachelor. When Cheryl went on a shopping spree in New York she bought a hat at F1esner's Fashions. Guess who the designer was? That's right. Shirley Flesner. Jim Jacobs, whose nickname used to be Spook , is now known as Digger , as he is the friendly undertaker. His parlor is called Doo Drop Inn. Adeline Rosendale always loved to drive so much, she is now driving a hearse for Digger. Max Scott had a sensational idea. He moved to France and feeds his cows grapes. I guess he has the biggest wine dairy in the world. A year after graduating Jim Orr married a five foot ten blonde from New York. He has a basketball team and a little cheerleader of his own now. I read where Dora Mae Junk, who runs Dora's Candy Store as a front, was arrested for being a bookie. Her only excuse was she was helping out a friend, Marilyn Andrew. Ronnie Vest is now recuperating in the hospital as his stock car piled up in a recent race. I doubt if he will ever leave the hospital though, as he has found a cute nurse. Sharon Carr has set up house keeping in Greenland with Jack, a young Air Forpe man she corresponded with while in school. Bill Corse became a Private Eye and has offices in Chatton, Chili, and Big Neck. Charles Henry Bennett, III, being very versatile, has become a termite exterminator, an auctioneer, a Ford salesman, and various other things. Russell Schoch, after serving his term in the Army became a drummer. He now plays drums in his own band with monogrammed drum sticks. Kay Webster is still in Chili, and I'm sorry to say, she's a widow, but a rich one, with three darling little boys. As for Mary Ann Strickler, she has a patent CPattonD on 'Davey' and has settled down to a blissful marriage. You remember Dick Spalding? I twisted his arms Call four of theml and finally talked him into marriage. He is radio announcer over CABK. I continued my writing by writing up the market report for him. I really must go now. I'm so confused, I don't know if hogs are up or down.
