Text from Pages 1 - 168 of the 1978 volume:

1978 BOWDOIN COLLEGE One night, about three months before the fateful day, it finally hit me. There I was bebopping along on my way into the Center for dinner. I was pretty hungry . . . after all. 1 had just spent the whole afternoon shooting pool which is a sure-fire way to work up an appetite. But that's another story. Where was 1? Oh yeah — headin’ in to chow down on whatever Larry Pinnette had to offer when I noticed what they were actually doing; they'd been at it a couple of days but at first I had repressed it. --v.. It's just a few yo-vo's from the sociology department doing a project for the deviants course or something. That's what I tried to tell myself. But it was no good. The subjects” for the study were all of the seniors. The vital stats being taken were for the mortar board and gown company. Did I know what this meant? Yeah. 1 knew. Academic regalia. For the class of 1978. For us. For me . . . Unblieva- blc! The four-year college cycle. Our four-year college cycle was on the verge of coming to an end. What can you say? Nothing too deep. For me the time passed quickly. Most of it was far from painful. Maybe even I learned something.
