With talk unmannerly and tedious quite, This thing they call a class first came to light, And now, though nothing decent they've achieved, They'd have us name them Hellenes, armed and greaved In truth, that Whiting, Clark or Walker, all Might answer, winsome, blushing, to the call Of Helen, but-oh saints above forfend That we to such the name of men should bend ! What have they done that merits sure applause, This class that would engulf within its maws That meed of laud and honor that is due To men who act, not suck their thumbs and rue? Class squads?
