Rep., and Mr. Gary Bachman. The members of the 1982-83 BHS Stu- dent Council were active in planning this years successful homecoming activities. The council selected the theme and planned and organized the parade. The Council also sponsored the dance follow- ing the activities on the night of corona- tion. Nine-Man Football Returns To BHS Nine man football returned to Bowdle this year after a three year absence. The team’s season ended with a 3-1 record after numerous injuries were incurred. There were 20 hard working guys who stuck out the season, 10 from high school and 10 from junior high. The one senior and two juniors were appointed as the team’s Tri-Captains. When asked about his feelings about the season. Coach Knudsen said he was impressed with the team’s outcome and was proud of how they played. He also felt that next year’s team will posses alot of quality with 8 lettermen returning. The Bobcats won this year’s homecoming game over the Warner Monarchs by a 40-6 score. Lady Bobcats “Play The Game” The 1982 Lady Bobcats “Played the Game” well with a 9-10 overall record this year under Coach B. Palsma. The Bobcats finished fourth in the YTC Tour- nament. Selected to the All-Conference honorable mention list was Senior Ann Gross. The Cats also had a great District III Tournament. They captured the third place trophy with a victory over Java 33- 31. Picked on the first team for the Dis- tricts was Ann Gross. Mary Geier and Patty Geier were named to the second team. Co-Captains for the 1982 Girls Basketball Season were Seniors: Ann Gross and Jean Peterman. Marla Vetch was Student Manager statisticaian for the girls.
